Aamir Khan is known for taking a keen interest in social matters and also voicing his opinion on issues of national interest. The latest government policy that turned the country on its head was PM Modi’s sudden decision to demonetize Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, and like always, Aamir didn’t shy away from speaking his mind.
Addressing the media at the first song launch from ‘Dangal’, the actor said that this is no time to ponder on the short-term effects of the move. Mr Perfectionist, who seemed to be in support of the decision, reminded fans that the long-term benefits of curbing black money have to be kept in mind. He went on to say that short-term inconveniences have to be ignored while keeping in mind the interest of the country in the long run.
In the end, the ‘Dangal‘ actor added that he paid all his taxes on time and so the government’s decision did not affect him at all. The actor has joined the chorus of Bollywood stars singing praises of this drastic move by Modi government.
